Program Details
What We Provide for Kids
Twice-a-week 45-minute PE sessions (5 minute warm-up & cool-down) for kids age 3 to 10
We will also offer optional FREE Friday sessions once per month
Instruction will be provided by "Cowboy" Ted Hallisey -
- Cowboy Ted has a Master of Education degree in Health, PE & Recreation
- Cowboy Ted served as a PE instructor for over five years at Utah State & Dixie State
- Cowboy Ted teaches PE classes at Valley View Elementary School in Bountiful
- CT has visited with over 200,000 kids to teach them about making Healthy Choices
- CT is the only Utah resident to serve on the National Association of Local Boards of Health's - Chronic Disease & Tobacco Prevention Committee

Program Features
- A structured age-appropriate PE session for kids that involves fun games and activities.
- Our program is designed for kids who want physical activity - but NOT organized sports.
- A non-competitive program with a focus on completion rather than competition.
- Our class sessions will help kids increase ~ agility, balance, endurance, fitness over the lifetime, hand-eye coordination, life skills, problem solving, strength, and teamwork.
- Class size is limited to a maximum of 12 students to allow more one-on-one instruction.
- The cornerstone for all of Cowboy Ted's programs are... "AS MANY AS IT TAKES".
- Kids work on each individual skill - until they complete the skill AS MANY AS IT TAKES.
- Kids receive a Cowboy Ted ~ As Many As It Takes ~ water bottle, wristband & T-shirt.
- A positive environment where kids encourage each other - NOT compete with each other.
- Weekly Tips for making Healthy Choices.
- Activities & games that kids can duplicate at home and throughout their lifetime.
Professional instruction that includes the following components...
- An introductory step-by-step demonstration of the skill by the instructor
- A demonstration of the skill by an experienced student who is the same age as students
- A summary of what the student will be doing as they attempt the new skill
- Time for students to ask questions of instructors before students attempt the new skill
- Positive reinforcement from the instructor with suggestions on how to improve the skill
- A reminder for students not to expect perfection - individual improvement is our goal
